Technology
I never knew how extensive the requirments for teaching actually were. When looking at the hand outs the standards for teachers are very detailed almost like the portrait of a teacher. There are many things to learn but I think the new generation of teachers are capable of taking on this new technological atmosphere that will be the classroom. The powerpoints, the media presentations and the usage of technology as a tool rather than a burden should be the main goal of inclusion of this concept into the classroom. Copyright laws also limit the amount of material that a teacher can use but I have seen meny teachers break the laws and not get in trouble and I think within moderation there is room for error.

i agree that being a teacher is not as easy as many people think it is. on top of having to learn how to teach children and help them learn, you have to think of all the outside sources and technology that you can use to help them learn. schools seem to be becoming more and more technologically advanced that in a few years each classroom in middle and high school is going to have as much technology as the classrooms in college.
with the way the world is now, being knowledgable about technology is a requiremt. its the age of the computer. the whole copyright thing is intersting but are there really any new ideas left out there? i think most of them are just a slight variation or mixture of already existing ones. i think it is important for kids to be exposed to technology and where better than in an educational setting like school
There are many rooms for error while using media in the classroom. Copyright laws are becoming more extensive due to the mass usage of media. I find it interesting how much a teacher must know about technology while in their profession. I think it is a great idea to have the teachers that have been teaching for a long time now to undergo the tests that new teachers are taking. This will benefit the teachers and students about technology.
technology is the wave of the future. im sure in some time the whole classroom will be involving technology. i dont think our society or our schools will survive with out it.
